I’m a graphic and stationery designer, who dabbles in illustration and lettering. Frankly, I can’t be nailed down to one niche, but one thing’s for sure, I 100% love what I do!
At my core, I'm all about creating unique and strategic brand identities for creative business of all sizes. I will collaborate with you to create the right branding and identity by getting to the heart of your business and goals.
As for stationery, my passion is creating unique-to-your-event stationery! Whether you’re having a fantasy-themed wedding, a 1920s art-deco ball, or a modern twist on the classic-elegant affair, I will work with you to create the invitation suite of your dreams, that will be sure wow your guests into some serious FOMO!
But enough about what I do, let’s get to who I am: I’m from New Orleans by way of Southern California - so yeah, I go with the flow but know when and how to jazz things up. I am a lover of all things nerdy & artsy, which has been feeding my irrepressible imagination since day one. On top of that, my parents will tell you I've always been the creative wild child of the family -- drawing and doodling ever since I could hold a crayon.
Growing up I knew I wanted to have a creative career. In fact, when I started college at LSU, I was set on becoming a photographer for National Geographic. Then Life happened and I was told I needed to pursue a "stable career path." Did I listen? Uhhhh… sorta?
I graduated from college with two degrees in marketing communications and for a little bit pursued a career in public relations. When that didn’t pan out the way I thought it would, I became a freelance graphic designer while I was in the midst of job-hunting. I started off by designing posters, invitations and logos for my friends as a way to build my portfolio, which is how I discovered that stationery and logo design were my strong-set. Then, in 2016, I finally got fed up with looking for a “steady job” and opened an Etsy shop where I began selling personalized invitations and my digital artwork.
Since then, Something New Designs has become a thriving business where I can do what I love and express my creativity freely, all while adding joy to peoples lives! Knowing that I've brought a client’s ideas to life - exactly as they envisioned - gives me a great deal fulfillment and satisfaction. Plus, the flexible hours and dress code don’t hurt!
